Digital security doesn't only relate to big corporates but affect public as well. Scams, identity theft, stalking and cyber-bulling are just some of the terrible activities that can occur online. 

Cyber CrimeCyber crime is cyber crime encompasses any criminal act dealing with computers and networks (called hacking). Additionally, cyber crime also includes traditional crimes conducted through the Internet. For example; hate crimes, telemarketing and Internet fraud, identity theft, and credit card account thefts are considered to be cyber crimes when the illegal activities are committed through the use of a computer and the Internet. 

Hate Crimes = a crime motivated by racial, sexual, or other prejudice, typically one involving violence.

Telemarketing = the marketing of goods or services by means of telephone calls, typically unsolicited, to potential customers, this can be twisted and falsely advertised.

Internet fraud = a crime in which the perpetrator develops a scheme using one or more elements of the Internet to deprive a person of property or any interest.

Identity theft = the fraudulent practice of using another person's name and personal information in order to obtain credit, loans, etc.

Stalking = pursue or approach stealthily.

How to prevent cyber-crime

• Protecting yourself and your data on social media.
• Protect your devices from hackers.
• Do not let any person have a hold on your personal identification documents etc. 
• Stay clear of suspicious people. 
• Do not trust people easily online as they might be fake.
• Keep your information private, do not make your life a public spectrum.
• Insure that all passwords and and private information is secured.
